Kartikeya Gummakonda will be seen as an NIA officer in his next film, which is being directed by Sri Saripalli. The film is a fictionalised account of real life incidents. Saripalli says that he penned the script after watching actual investigative officers.
“I used to stay at CBI colony in Jubliee Hills, so I saw how all the bureaucrats walk and talk. One day I thought, what if these people face identity crises? The story stemmed from there. I have written a fictional narrative,” shares the director.
Saripalli, who has a Masters Degree in Fine Arts in Filmmaking from Universal Studios, Los Angeles, says he chose Kartikeya after seeing his film, RX100. “I felt his body language and eyes suit an NIA officer role,” he adds, sharing that the film is about the mission of a new NIA recruit.
