After she has been the pick of all the filmmakers in Telugu, Mehreen Kaur now seems to be the hot property for Tamil filmmakers too. Apparently, the actress has been handpicked by director Anand Shankar for his forthcoming bilingual film (Telugu and Tamil).
Apparently, Mehreen’s natural performance in her earlier films, coupled with her fame has been instrumental in her coming on board. Although Mehreen’s earlier film Nenjil Thunivirundhal (c/o Surya in Telugu) did not do well, the actress has been lauded for her portrayal.
Moreover, since her fame in Telugu has been on the rise, the film’s director Anand Shankar believes that her onscreen presence with Vijay will do wonders for the film.
A source says, “Anand was keen to have an actress who has not paired with Vijay thus far, just to make the lead pair look fresh. He roped in Mehreen after seeing her earlier performances.”
While there’s not much known about the genre of the film, we have learnt that it would be action drama. The film is expected to go on floors soon.
