Pawan Kalyan had announced that he wants to quit films and concentrate on politics, which could mean Agnyaathavaasi is his last film. Naturally, his fans want to make it a record breaking film for the actor.
“The film is premiering in record number of screens in the US and there are chances it may create new records in Tollywood,” say sources. In India too, distributors want to hike the ticket price for the first week after release, just as they did for Baahubali, to recover the amount.
Interestingly, there’s been a pre-release business of nearly Rs 120 crore. “Releasing during the festival season, the film is being released on almost all the screens. Since more films will follow after three days, the distributors want to cash in on the first three days of release,” says the source.
The film has already generated a huge hype with the song Koduka Koteswara Rao, sung by Pawan Kalyan himself doing the rounds on social media.
