Someone who quit a lucrative job to get into showbiz, it’s a risky proportion. But Nazia Davison, who will be playing a meaty role in the forthcoming film, Mr Majnu, starring Akhil Akkineni, is quite happy with her choice.
“I hail from Gujarat and I have a degree in drama and theatre studies. I also handled work with regard to post-production, earlier. And since I am passionate about films, I guess all my career steps seem to be naturally going towards making my showbiz debut,” says Nazia, whose family stays in Dubai.
Nazia will be seen as Akhil’s girlfriend in the romantic entertainer, being directed by Venky Atluri. “Most of my scenes are shot in London, but the best part of my role is that I play my age. The storyline is very modern and will connect to the youth,” describes Nazia, adding, “Working with Akhil was a good experience. We share common interests including our love for travelling, being adventurous, food, etc.”
Nazia says she’s working on her language too. “Since I am new to the language (Telugu), I am trying to understand the meaning of the words, so that I can express better,” explains Nazia.
