Success is relative to how good a film is: Praveen Sattaru
While actor Rajasekhar seems mighty excited about his upcoming film PS Garuda Vega, ahead of the release, many are raising eyebrows on the huge budget that has gone into the making of the film. With the actor being off the radar for a while and not having had a good box office run in a long time, there’s talk about how the huge expenditure may not be a good bet. But the film’s director Praveen Sattaru thinks otherwise.
“This doubt is quite unwarranted. I don’t know why everyone keeps asking me the same! The recent release Arjun Reddy is a classic example of how anything can happen. The film was made on a budget of Rs 4 crore. A hero who is relatively new and a debut director couldn’t stop the film from doing well and collect Rs 30 crore! Collections are relative to how good a movie is,” shares the director, while talking about his film, which releases on November 3.
Meanwhile, the director also says that it was very silly for a producer to ask a director about the budget of a film.“That’s the stupidest question a producer can ask. How can a director decide the budget? That’s the duty of the line producer. He is the one who calculates and manages everything,” Praveen concludes.
