Though RP Patnaik entered the industry as music director, he is an actor, director and writer too. Earlier, he directed a few films that were critically acclaimed and now he is coming up with another film, Manalo Okadu.
“This film is about the media and its responsibility towards society,” he says talking about the film. He adds that he hasnt targetted any particular media house or person in the film.
“Nowadays, without checking facts, the media hypes everything. The film shows how a news channel’s telecast affects a common man and how he reacts to it,” he explains.
Patnaik plays a lecturer in the film. “It’s very interesting and will be relatable to anyone watching the film,” he says., adding that he plans to send the film to film festivals. Anita Hassanandani plays his wife in the film, marking her comeback to Telugu films after a long break.
