Kamal Haasan angry at fake WhatsApp poem'

Barely hours after their break-up was announced, a heartbroken poem on behalf of Kamal Haasan started doing the rounds.

This is actor Kamal Haasan’s third break-up and each time, he has remained silent — choosing not to comment.

But, this time, he’s hopping mad because barely hours after the news of his and Gautami Tadimalla’s split rocked tinsel town, a message on Whatsapp attributed to Kamal himself started going viral. The forward which is in poetic form when roughly translated from Tamil reads, “If you think, going apart will make you stronger, and if that is your decision, then stand at a distance as a shadow. And I won’t consider this as a punishment, which I inflicted on myself. There is no pride in telling that a part of me has, today, left me alone.”

However, after being bombarded with calls and messages all day, Kamal was quick to issue a statement that the poem was not his — and that someone was playing an indecent game by making remarks under his name. He also added that at this point, he was not going to comment anything on the matter of the break-up.

His daughter, Shruti Haasan, who has also been linked as one of the reasons behind the split, immediately followed suit, with a press release of her own, that was rather impassionate, stating that she has never commented on anyone’s personal life and their decisions. For her, what matters most is standing by, loving and respecting her family — her parents and her sister no matter what.
