After returning from a one-year break, young actor Karthik Raju has signed two films! One of the films, to be made by debut director Poornanand, will be launched on Monday. “It is a different love story and when the director narrated it to me, I felt it was very fresh,” says Karthik Raju. He adds that his father, a popular film distributor in Vishakhapatnam, also gave him the green signal after listening to the script.
In the new film, Mishty Chakraborthy will be playing the female lead opposite Karthik. “There are many other senior actors like Thanikella Bharani, Brahmanandam and Amani,” says the Tippu actor.
Even though Karthik’s first two films did not do so well commercially, they made him confident, says the actor. He adds, “In this hiatus, I focussed on my acting skills, and my dialogue delivery . I am also working on my expressions too, apart from workouts. This time I am more confident as we have worked hard on the script. Though Poornanand is a debutant, he has worked with director P. Vasu in the past and has ample experience. So I am hoping that this film is going to be a good break for me as well as the director,” says Karthik, who has signed another film.
