Actress Samantha Akkineni is clearly going through a purple patch in her career. The Manam actress started off the year on a high note. After her Tamil film Super Deluxe got rave reviews and raked in the moolah, her subsequent film in Telugu Majili (opposite her husband Naga Chaitanya) was a hit, too.
Then, her recently released Telugu film, Oh! Baby went on to become a major money spinner at the box office as well, further proving her growing stardom among the audience.
Now, all eyes are on Samantha as to what she’ll take up next. But it appears that the actress is in no hurry to prove her worth. Currently shooting for 96, the Telugu remake of a Tamil film by the same name, the actress has not taken on any more films.
Buzz is that Sam wants go slow in terms of signing films. “Samantha is in no hurry to sign films. She’ll take up a film only when she’s convinced about the role and the script. She recently heard a few narrations from Tamil and Telugu filmmakers, but she is yet to take a call on them,” a source reveals.
That being said, Samantha might take up another female-oriented film in Telugu and Tamil if all goes well.
