Nagarjuna has his hands full

The actor is keen to cash in on every good opportunity.

Actor Nagarjuna seems excited about dipping his feet in Hindi again. Talking about how the stakeholders from Bollywood made the first move, he says, “I didn’t go there. Instead, Ayan Mukherjee and Karan Johar came to me for this film. They said ‘we need somebody like you’. I didn’t want to see the script but I asked them for a 3D version of my role. They came back after three months and showed me my role. My character’s length is for 15 minutes in the film,” says Nagarjuna.

The actor is keen to cash in on every good opportunity. “I am looking for quality, not quantity. Though my role is short, I should be the star of the film. That’s the reason I’ve signed a Tamil film, which will be announced officially in a week or so,” he says.

The actor has finished the Hindi film’s one-week schedule in Bulgaria. “For this film, I also have to attend another shoot in London and Mumbai for a week,” he says.

Revealing that he’s got his kitty full, he says, “Director Kalyan Krishna and writer Satyanand are preparing the Bangarraju script.” Nagarjuna is doing the multi-starrer Devdas with Nani. He adds, “Nani is a very talented actor and I am happy working with him.”

The actor has been singing the praises of director Rahul Ravindran for his film Chi La Sow. “I saw the film and I liked it. I immediately asked Rahul to direct a film for me,” says Nagarjuna. He added that his son (Naga Chaitanya) had asked him to see the film initially and he did so without any interest.

“I didn’t know the script, actors or anything about the film so I went to watch it with a negative mindset. But after I saw the film, I realised it’s amazing and decided to work with Rahul,” says Nagarjuna.
