Noted actress Anushka Shetty, who ruled the roost with money-spinners like ‘Arundathi’ and ‘Bhagmathe’, has been hailed as the torch-bearer of women-centric movies in T-town. She is returning with a comic-caper ‘Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty’ on August 4. It will be released in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada besides Telugu.
Announcing the release date, makers wrote, “Keep your tissues ready, cos you’re about to cry with laughter,” it read. It is directed by Mahesh Babu P.
She is dabbling with comedy after her mute girl act in “Nishabdham’ failed to make an impact. There were no takers even for her author-backed role in ‘Size Zero’ and she took a break to address her weight issues in real-life.

Will it be a sensible laugh-riot without resorting to slapstick comedy, that remains to be seen.
