Actress Gayathri Suresh came close to making her Tollywood debut with Raj Tharn’s film, but things did not materialise. However, now the actress has been roped in as the female lead in a Telugu film opposite Naveen Chandra.
Although she’s barely two years old in showbiz, Gayathri has eight releases in Malayalam cinema. Impressed by her performance in her earlier films, she has been approached for the leading lady’s role.
Apparently, the film’s director Karthik Reddy, who earlier directed Adda and Voter, wanted a fresh face and chanced upon the actress for the role.
A source says, “Gayathri is not fretting over the loss of her earlier film in Telugu. She’s quite happy to wait for the right role. And when she was approached for this one, she felt it would be an ideal debut.”
