Ashish Gandhi tied the knot with Nikitha, a software engineer, in a low-key affair, which was held at a star hotel in Hyderabad on Sunday. The event was restricted to the couple’s families and close friends keeping in mind the COVID-19 restrictions.
Ashish tells us that the marriage was arranged between the parents of the couple. Apparently, last November, after Ashish’s parents came upon Nikitha and thought it to be a suitable match for him, they asked him to meet her too. But meeting her brought him one of the biggest surprises of his life.
“When I met Nikitha, she told me she’d been following me for over a year after she’d seen me at a family gathering a couple of years back and that she was already in love with me,” says Ashish, unable to hide his wonder. So also, when Ashish’s father approached Nikitha’s parents to ask for her hand in marriage, she was understandably thrilled upon learning that it was Ashish who was chosen for the alliance.
While Ashish already feels happy to find her, a quality in Nikitha he insists draws him to her is that she understands his profession. “The showbiz life can be quite surreal to outsiders, so I thought I’d discuss with her the life in cinema, and she was very forthcoming and seems matured enough to understand,” he says.
As regards preparing for the married life ahead, he says that he’s going to go with the flow. “I am looking forward to starting a new chapter in my life,” expresses Ashish.
