Vishal Krishna’s next goes in for script revision

Vishal has now decided to rewrite parts of his next film.

After the eleventh-hour run-in with his producer for Ayogya, actor-star-activist Vishal Krishna has now decided to produce all his films independently.

“Why face the risk of going through this again when I can make it happen for myself? I know I have the infrastructure and the power to produce my own films. So, I’ve resolved to never depend on a producer who might pull the rug from under me in the last minute,” Vishal says.

Ayogya’s box office performance, however, has delighted him.

“Despite its delayed opening, Ayogya has done exceedingly well. And although we lost at least `4 crore because we couldn’t release the film on Friday, I was happy because we had the next three weeks without any competition, till Surya’s NGK opened on May 31.”

Vishal has now decided to rewrite parts of his next film. “It’s again a film based on current affairs — it expounds Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, so we have obviously exercised sensitivity in dealing with it. However, the script could use some fine-tuning.” The film recreates Pakistan in Jaipur and Istanbul. He says, “We found the topography of Jaipur and Istanbul to be similar. We couldn’t shoot in Pakistan, for obvious reasons.”
