The latest Prabhas-starrer, Saaho, is touted as being the costliest Telugu film till date. According to a source, the makers are spending more than Rs 300 crore on the film. “The makers want to make this a visual treat, so have hired international and Hollywood technicians for the action episodes currently being shot in Dubai,” says a source.
The action episode itself costs nearly Rs 100 crore, added the source. Though Baahubali, too, was made on a similar budget, it came out in two parts. So, as a single film, Saaho has the highest budget for Telugu films.
After Baahubali’s success, Prabhas wants to cash in on it. “The makers are planning to release the film in as many as languages as possible,” says the source.
Shraddha Kapoor has been roped in as the female lead keeping in mind the Hindi audience. Visual graphics also play an important part in the film and the makers are doing their best on that front, too.
