The makers of Balakrishna’s ambitious biopic of his father, the late NTR, are going the extra mile for the casting of the film. In fact, the team is looking at this as the most crucial aspect of the film as they want to rope in actors who will be in sync with their characters.
Now comes the news that actress Nadiya has been approached to essay the role of India’s first and only woman Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
“It’s a crucial role since there is quite a lot of political interaction and dialogue between Indira and NTR. The makers are keen to cast someone who’s not just a performer but also a stylish personality since she needs to recreate the aura of Indira on screen,” shares a source, adding, “Nadiya seems like one of the best options available to the team.”
