There were rumours that Shruti Haasan would be doing an item number in the Simbu-Nayanthara starrer Idhu Namma Aalu, directed by Pandiraj. A few reports also suggested that the filmmakers had approached the Puli actress after the film’s lead Nayantara could not do the special number! The latter’s spokesperson has now
clarified that the actress was approached to croon a number in the film, and that she sang a song last year; but, she would not feature in it herself.
“Shruti has not been approached to do a special song nor would she consider doing it,” the statement read. In Tamil, Shruti
currently has Suriya’s S3 in her kitty. Meanwhile, the audio of Idhu Namma Aalu will be released on February 3, along with Simbu’s birthday celebration. So it is going to be a double whammy!
