After a great deal of speculation and discussion surrounding the Telugu remake of the Hindi film 2 States, an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s bestselling book by the same name, the film is finally going on the floors.
While it was earlier rumoured that Naga Chaitanya would play the lead, sources inform that actor Adivi Sesh has not just okayed the script, but has also become involved in the film’s pre-production.
“A completely new team has come together for the film. Debutant Venkat Reddy, who was associated with V.V. Vinayak for several years, has been roped in to helm the film, while Midhun Chaitanya and Madhu Srinivas are working on the film’s screenplay. Sesh will be cast as a Telugu boy who falls in love with a North Indian girl. The team plans to begin shooting sometime in late February or early March,” shares a source.
Interestingly, the team has also almost zeroed in on a leading lady and is quite keen on casting a star kid who is set to make her debut, however they are keeping their options open. To be produced by debutant producer M.L.V. Sathya Narayana, an official announcement about the project is expected soon.
