Animal' movie composer has no dates for Devil'?

If industry sources are to be believed, music director Harshavardhan Rameshwar, who is also composing music for the much-hyped Bollywood film 'Animal' along with other composers, reportedly couldn't spare dates for the background score of the Telugu film 'Devil' and forced the makers to defer the release from November 24 to another date.

"Harshavardhan is a talented composer, but he couldn't spare 10 to 12 days for the background score of Telugu film 'Devil' which has caused a lot of pain and anguish to producers," says a source who claims that the background score for spy thriller was crucial and significant to enhance the mood of the film which is set in pre-Independence era revolving around a secret British agent.

Actually, Harshavardhan composed music for Hindi films like 'Kabir Singh' and 'Tanhaji' and also belted tunes for Telugu films like 'Sakshyam,' and 'Ravanasura.' He was supposed to finish his work for 'Animal' and begin to compose music tracks for 'Devil' to enable the film to be released as scheduled on November 24. "However, he was stuck with the musical tracks of 'Animal,' which went in for a couple of reshoots and a bit of re-editing, so he was helpless," he adds.

He cites the massive success of 'Jailer' and 'Leo', which relied on terrific background scores and rocked box office records. "Background score makes you feel a certain way about characters, dialogues, and storyline. This helps the audience relate to the characters better and also subconsciously creates a perspective about the movie. The right music track can help to accentuate emotions or create contrast," he points out.

Despite the hiccup, the producers are confident that their gripping story of a British Agent (Kalyan Ram) who sets out on a mission to unearth the truth in the pre-Independence era could spin box office magic any day. "Kalyan Ram's elegant performance and his new avatar will be the USP of this film. They are also banking on novel storyline besides magnificent sets to deliver a period action adventure which is loaded with spectacular visuals," he concludes.
