Recently Nabha Natesh posted pictures of herself dressed as legendary comedian-filmmaker Charlie Chaplin. She aced the look of the iconic entertainer, to the delight of her fans. “I am a huge fan of Charlie Chaplin and have been thinking of doing something that’s fun and cool. I have been doing glamorous photo sessions all this while, so I thought of giving that a break,” explains Nabha, who has also done a painting of Charlie Chaplin.
She shares that a lot of research went into getting the makeover. And her team got the tuxedo, the moustache, the hat, and even the make-up right.Nabha says making someone laugh is most difficult.
“We can make people cry but to lighten their mood and bring relief to their souls is the most challenging thing I have realised. I believe Charlie Chaplin is the greatest entertainer, and I was inspired by him,” she says, adding that imitating him was her tribute to Chaplin. The actress says getting a makeover as the comedian made her nostalgic as it reminded her of her theatre days. “When I started theatre, I used to do a lot of imitations, like portraying an old woman,” she recalls.
“And I was buoyed by the response. It encourages you to think differently,” explains Nabha, who loves to bring out her comic side in films. The actress says she hasn’t done any full-fledged comic caper yet, and hopes filmmakers will take note of her funny side.
