While many directors, who have delivered hits, are waiting for their next film, director Surender Reddy, who made a disaster like ‘Agent’, has announced a film with Power Star Pawan Kalyan.
Producer Ram Talluri, who is a good friend of Pawan Kalyan, will be bankrolling this project. They just opened a new office and conducted a pooja for the film. “No doubt, Surender Reddy is the luckiest man in the industry,” says a source and adds, “I know many directors who delivered blockbusters and waited for the dates of big stars, but Surender Reddy bags a plum offer despite flops like ‘Agent,” he adds.
Within four months after a dud like ‘Agent’ and producer Anil Sunkara blamed him for not giving a full-bound script and shooting the film in episodes without any proper links, leading to its pathetic show at the box office. “Anil Sunkara openly chided the director and cautioned others because he suffered Rs 40 crore losses in Agent and was annoyed with Surender Reddy for overspending without any plan,” the source adds.
No doubt, Surender Reddy had delivered hits like ‘Athanokkade’, ‘Race Gurram’ and ‘Dhruva’ but couldn’t spin box office magic with ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. He burnt his hands with the spy thriller ‘Agent’ to go silent and he will now surely look for a comeback with a star like Pawan Kalyan.
