Popular actress Anushka Shetty who did horror thrillers like Arundathi and Bhagmathee, set to join the sets of supernatural thriller in Malayalam.
While everyone is saying that the actress is not available for the promotions of Miss Shetty Mister Polishetty, she is debuting in Mollywood with “Kathanar, The Wild Sorcerer,” alongside Jayasurya, who plays the titular role. Directed by Rojin Thomas, known for blockbuster Home, this ambitious film is based on the fascinating tales of Kadamattathu Kathanar, a Kerala priest who was believed to possess supernatural powers.
The makers released a two minute video offering a glimpse into the mystical world. The visuals hint a thrilling journey filled with sorcery.
However Anushka was missing in the video, although her name was mentioned in the titles.
The actress has done Tamil films like Singham with Tamil star Suriya and Vaanam with Vikram. Probably she was impressed with the supernatural script and moving to Malayalam to showcase her acting repertoire.
