Tamil star Vijay Antony struck a chord with the Telugu audience with his super hit film Bichagadu, the Telugu version of Pichaikkaran. Although his follow-up films haven’t done too well, he still enjoys a massive fan following here.
According to reports, Vijay may now star in the Tamil remake of Napoleon, the Telugu film directed by Anand Ravi. The thriller revolves around a man’s lost shadow and was acclaimed for its unique story.
Vijay, who is fascinated with Anand Ravi’s writing and screenplay, believes such a script will complement his image and help his bond with the audience grow stronger.
A source informs, “Vijay Antony, who is always on the lookout for strong content-centric films, feels Napoleon would be the right project to take his image to the next level.”
The pre-production work is on in full swing and if all goes well, Dhananjayan Govind may co-produce the film.
