Fighting to stay

Most critics think that the problem with Sharwa is that he takes too long to complete his films.

It would be natural for Sharwanand to be a nervous wreck now, for his film Ranarangam is all set to release on August 15. Adding to the situation is the fact that the actor has been completely out of form for the last couple of years since his last film Padi Padi Leche Manasu released. And that one hadn’t done well at the box-office.

Most critics think that the problem with Sharwa is that he takes too long to complete his films. Even the shoot for Ranarangam, which is set for release in a fortnight, had started long ago. His last good film that did some good business was Mahanubhavudu, which released in 2017. But then onwards, the actor has slackened pace, taking his own time to complete his films.

That being said, Sharwa is already working on another film 96. It was during the shoot of this film that he was injured and was forced to take many days’ rest. Thankfully, his injury hadn’t hindered him from completing Ranarangam, which is directed by Sudheer Varma. While Ranarangam will be quite the tester for Sharwa, he must realise that the industry is flooded with fresh talent. If he needs to even stay relevant in the competition, Sharwa needs to pull up his socks and speed up his shoots.
