Shivani Rajasekhar, elder daughter of Jeevitha and Rajasekhar, is playing the female lead in an as yet untitled film directed by Mallik Ram.

“It’s a fresh love story with some science fiction elements in it,” says Shivani. “We started the shooting some time back and more or less completed it just before the lockdown. We need to shoot for four to five days more for patchwork.”

Teja Sajja of Oh! Baby fame is the lead actor opposite Shivani. “The team wanted the film to be completed and ready for release, so I completed the dubbing,” says Shivani. Post-production work is in progress.

To a question whether her parents accompanied her for the shooting, she said, “Not regularly; sometimes my mother comes with me and sometimes my sister.”

Saying that her father never attended the shoots, she however revealed that both her parents want to know the story before shooting begins. “They don’t interfere, but they advise me because they are very experienced, and I want to leverage that,” says Shivani.

In the case of this particular film, she said, her parents had seen the rushes when she was dubbing for her role. “They liked it and are very happy,” Shivani adds.

She says she isn’t against an OTT release for the movie, in the present circumstances. “I want the film to reach as many as people as possible. My production team will take decide on which platform to release and they are the best judges,” she avers.

Shivani says she is open to doing web series. “If anyone approaches me with a good subject, I am ready to do a web series. People like it if the content is good,” she stresses.
