Anushka Shetty has recently wrapped up the shooting of her forthcoming film, Nishabdam, which is expected to release on April 2. However, an interesting backstory ensued during the film’s making.
The Baahubali actress was offered a special song in Saaho, opposite Prabhas, but she had to let go of the offer as she was shooting for Nishabdam in the US.
Apparently, while shooting for the Hemant-Madhukar directorial, Anushka was offered a special song for the film Prabhas’s Saaho. And as Anushka had worked with Prabhas several times earlier, she was also so excited at the prospect of sharing screen with the Baahubali hero yet again in a special song.
Despite Kona Venkat, writer and co-producer of Nishabdam, offering to relieve her for a week to do the special song in Saaho, the availability of combination dates of other actors in Nishabdam posed a huge hurdle. Moreover, pushing the shooting by a week would have only made things difficult for the producers, as they had to get the permissions and other paper work done all over again to continue their work in the US.
“It was a tricky situation for Anushka despite her wanting to be a part of the special song in Saaho. In fact, she could have easily gone on to do the song, disregarding the predicament of Nishabdam filmmakers. But she took stock of the situation and decided to forego the Saaho offer and continued shooting for Nishabdam. Later, the filmmakers of Saaho roped in Jacqueline Fernandez for the song,” a source in the know tells us.
