Siva Balaji has a special bond with Pawan Kalyan. The actor first met PK when he played his brother-in-law in the film Annavaram that released ten years back. Now, after several years, Siva Balaji is once again acting with the actor in Katamarayudu that is releasing this month.
“I am playing one of Pawan Kalyan’s brothers in the film. From day one, he showered his love and affection on me. They actually thought of somebody else for the role, but Pawan Kalyan sir specially mentioned my name, which is a great honour for me,” says Siva Balaji.
So, he decided to do something nice for Pawan Kalyan. “I am a good cook and initially thought of inviting him for dinner. Later, I got the idea of gifting him a sword,” he says. He initially enquired about swords in Hyderabad, but couldn’t find any interesting designs.
“So, I went to Dehradun, where good quality swords are made. I also wanted to present my thoughts on the sword, so I added things like the Sri Chakram, the Jana Sena party symbol and a picture of Pawan Kalyan sir on it,” reveals the actor, adding, “PK sir was excited when I presented the sword and said that it touched his heart.” The actor admits that his wife and popular actress Madhumitha also helped design the sword.
