Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran's latest release, 'Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire,' directed by Prashanth Neel, has emerged as a box office juggernaut, entering the prestigious Rs 625-crore club worldwide within just 10 days of its release. The action drama continued its strong performance on New Year's Day, January 1, witnessing a slight growth in collections and earning over Rs 15 crore in India.
Since its theatrical debut on December 22, 'Salaar' has demonstrated remarkable staying power, outshining competition and maintaining a robust performance at the box office. On Day 11, the film's estimated net collection surpassed Rs 15.50 crore in India, bringing the 11-day total to an impressive Rs 360.77 crore at the domestic box office.
Despite the end of the holiday season, 'Salaar' recorded an occupancy rate of 48.75 percent on January 1. As the film continues its successful run, it is expected to maintain its stronghold, even with a potential drop in collections on January 2.
The Prahsant Neel movie is only a few crores (25 crores) away from crossing Rajamouli's Baahubali collections of Rs 650 crore worldwide.
