The ironies of life — foes turn friends!

After criticising Vijay Deverakonda for his film Arjun Reddy, actress and anchor Anasuya is now acting in his first production venture.

It is said that there are no permanent friends or foes in the film industry or politics. That couldn’t be more apt for popular anchor and actress Anasuya and Vijay Deverakonda, who had locked horns at the time of his last release, Arjun Reddy.

Anasuya had taken to Twitter to criticise the actor for his remarks at the pre-release event of the film, calling him irresponsible for making such comments when he was being followed by lakhs of fans.

Seems all that is a thing of the past as she is now playing one of the leads in Meeku Matrame Chepta — the actor’s first production venture.

When asked about his choice of actress for his film, Vijay says, “I am a forgiving fellow but more than that, it’s the director’s choice. He asked me to cast her.

Anyway, work is beyond personal drama. If I was directing the film, I don’t know whether I would have chosen her or not, but since I am not the director, it’s his choice.”

However, the actor-turned-producer furtehr clarifies, “I never visited the sets during the shoot. But I am very happy that Anasuya accepted this role as she has done a very good job in the film. I wish her all the best,” he says magnanimously, adding that he never got involved in any department of this film. “I liked the story narrated by Shammer and simply provided whatever he asked for,” he says.
