Many would expect Akhil to pick his father Nagarjuna’s or brother Chaitanya’s films as his favourites. But they would be wrong! For his favourite film happens to be Atharintiki Daredi that is directed by Trivikram Srinivas and stars Pawan Kalyan. Akhil has seen this film many times and reveals that he can relate to it.
“Akhil has often shared with his friends and other actors that he has seen Atharintiki Daredi several times and likes it a lot,” says a source close to the actor. Akhil is now doing a film called Mr Majnu that is directed by Venky Atluri of Tholi Prema fame. The film is almost complete, except for a song.
“Some of the scenes in this film are also inspired by Atharintiki Daredi. There are no resemblances, but they just draw inspiration from that blockbuster,” adds the source. There are reports that the film’s story is on the similar lines of the Bollywood hit film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
