Vishnu Manchu's K-town debut, a political drama
Vishnu Manchu had announced earlier this year that he wants to try his luck in Kollywood with a straight Tamil film, and revealed that his next film Voter would be a bilingual. Titled Kural 388 in Tamil, the film will feature a hard-hitting story set against a political backdrop. G.S. Karthik will be directing the project, that has Surbhi as its leading lady.
Speaking about the bilingual, Karthik reveals, “The film has a universal concept and would suit any audience. And so, we thought of making it in Tamil as well. Even though it is of a political genre, it delves more on the voter who is the most powerful man in a democratic set up. At the end of the day, he/she seldom gets due respect, which is the crux of the movie.” Apparently, the plot of the film has been built around the 388th Kural from Thirukkural, a classic Tamil text consisting of 1,330 couplets or kurals, dealing with the everyday virtues of an
individual.
“Vishnu was keen to make a mark in Tamil as the audiences these days are receptive to good content. I am confident that it would be a milestone flick for Vishnu,” reveals Karthik.
