Balakrishna narrowly averted being seriously hurt in an accident on Wednesday.
The accident took place when the actor-turned-politician was driving to Bangalore from Anantapur after some engagements at his constituency, Hindupur.
A big garland, which had been gifted to him by the people of Hindupur, had been kept on the vehicle. When he neared Bajepally in Karnataka, the garland slipped and fell on the windscreen. Balakrishna lost concentration and hit the divider.
It could have been much worse as there was a heavy vehicle in front of him. Thankfully he hit the divider and only the car was damaged somewhat, including a burst tyre.
Balakrishna was immediately shifted to another vehicle. The actor is leaving for Georgia soon for another schedule of Gautamiputra Satakarni.
