Chandu Mondeti, who delivered a rather successful directorial debut five years ago with his Nikhil starrer Karthikeya, has collaborated with the actor once again for its sequel, Karthikeya 2. The film’s shooting has commenced already but the makers clearly don’t want to make a deal about it, so they haven’t publicised about it so much thus far.
While the makers of Nikhil’s Arjun Suravaram are still looking for a suitable date to release the film, the actor has moved on to filming Karthikeya 2, thereby leaving release of Arjun Suravaram to its producer to figure out.
“Karthikeya was quite a blockbuster, as we’re all aware. And now, apparently, Chandu has written an even better story for its sequel and, out of sheer excitement, he and Nikhil decided they should start filming immediately,” said a source privy to the ongoings.
Chandu wants to wrap the film quickly, the source added. He’s apparently still looking for a suitable actress to play the lead.
