There’s an eerie silence pervading Tollywood over the past few days, after the deafening din over some controversy or the other in the past few weeks. That’s probably thanks to the industry meeting under the leadership of Chiranjeevi, where strict instructions were given not to talk about anything related to the industry.
“The Chamber, MAA and the directors’ association issued letters to all the members, including artistes, technicians, directors, distributors and producers about the latest developments. In this letter, they said they were going to come up with a committee, whose members would be the only spokespersons on the issues concerning the industry,” says a source.
The source reveals that the committee would be called ‘Tollywood Controlling Committee’, which would look into and solve any matter related to the industry immediately. The spokespersons appointed on the committee would be film chamber president and secretary, MAA president and secretary, director’s association president and couple of individuals like Thammareddy Bharadwaj and Jhansi.
“These people will be available to speak about anything related to the Telugu film industry,” the source adds.
