Having penned memorable dialogues for hit films like Yevadu, Kick, Kshanam, Bommarillu, Mr. Perfect, Oopiri, etc., writer Abburi Ravi is now trying his luck in acting. Apparently, the renowned writer will be seen playing the main antagonist in his forthcoming Telugu film, directed by Saikiran Adivi.
At a time when filmmakers are looking to import villains from Bollywood, Saikiran has taken the desi way and roped in the writer, who has already commenced shooting for the youthful drama.
Apparently, Abburi had turned down the proposal to play the baddie initially, but director Saikiran eventually convinced him to do the part.
A source informs, “Earlier, Abburi was approached to play the villain by several filmmakers, but the writer politely declined. Now, it looks like he has decided to don the greasepaint for the antagonist’s role.”
