On Wednesday, producer Venkat announced that he is making a fourth film in the Dandupalyam franchise and that it will be bigger than the earlier three films, which were all hits. The producer revealed that a new director, K.T. Nayak will direct the film.
The first three films were directed by Srinivasa Raju while Venkat produced the first two. According to a source, differences arose between the two during the third sequel. “Because of these differences, producer Venkat opted out of the project and Ram Talluri stepped in. Now, Venkat has announced the fourth film with another director,” says a source.
The producer revealed that he is roping in some of the artistes from the past films and will add some more. “In this sequel, two gangs are fighting each other and more actors will join the production,” he said, although he did not mention director Srinivasa Raju’s name.
Meanwhile, Venkat and Nayak are under pressure to replicate the success of the previous films.
