Rift widens in MAA
It seems there is no end to the differences within the Movie Artistes Association (MAA). Recently, actor Rajasekhar criticised MAA president Naresh at a public function, but he paid the penalty for it by having to send in his resignation from the post of Executive Vice-President before the disciplinary committee could take action.
Now, the majority of executive members, including the secretary Jeevitha, Hema, Ali and many others, have written to the disciplinary action committee demanding action against Naresh.
“Naresh is taking independent decisions and not discussing it in the executive committee. He used to stress the need for transparency in everything, but when it comes to himself, he never follows the dictum,” say the members in their letter to the committee. They also made many other accusations against Naresh and called for action in these respects too.
“The disciplinary committee that include Chiranjeevi, Krishnam Raju and a few other seniors should come forward and do something for this long dispute,” says an actor.
