Hollywood calling for Rana Daggubati
After proving himself to be a pan-Indian actor, Rana Daggubati is taking it a notch higher. According to a source, the Baahubali star might sign a Hollywood film soon although it is still at the discussion stage. “A few people approached Rana to do a role in their English film and he may sign it if everything goes well,” says the source.
The actor is presently busy with his film Haathi Mere Saathi in Mumbai. “The film is trilingual and Rana has to act in all the three languages, so it’s taking a lot of time,” adds the source. Post this, he also has a Hindi film Housefull 4 after which he may sign the English film.
With such a busy schedule, Rana’s Telugu film by Venu Udugula may be put on hold. The actor is also supposed to complete a pre-independence period drama in Telugu and Tamil.
“However, the producer has some financial issues, so shooting is currently stalled,” says a source, adding that the producer was supposed to pay more than Rs 20 crore to the Baahubali producers. “Shooting may start once the financial issues are settled,” adds the source. Meanwhile, pre-production work on his mythological film, Hiranyakashyap, directed by Gunasekhar, is going on.
