Producer C. Kalyan, who is coming up with a film titled Inttelligent directed by V.V. Vinayak, is making another film with the same director.
“I started my career as an assistant director and have now settled as a producer. Till now, I have produced 70 films and always advise my directors on the stories. 1945, my film with Rana Daggubati, is in production after which I will produce another film, Bharathi. After these two films, I am producing another film with director V.V. Vinayak,” says C. Kalyan, adding that he has always regarded Vinayak like his own brother.
Talking about his upcoming film, he says, “It’s a great journey with director Vinayak and as the film title suggests, he has made the film intelligently. He never starts a film until he is completely satisfied with the story.”
Talking about Varun Tej’s film which is also releasing at the same time, Kalyan says, “I have a greater rapport with Varun Tej than Sai Dharam as I produced his film Loafer and wish that his film becomes a great success. I also hope Mohan Babu’s Gayatri becomes a hit because if many films do well, it is good for the industry.”
The producer says he continues to work as President of the National Film Employees Organisation. “The distributors and producers are not in a good position as some people are robbing them, so we have decided to close the theatres from March 1 onwards,” he declares.
