'Biryani aur Haleem' play

HYDERABAD: The Rotary Club of Hyderabad Pride staged a play 'Biryani aur Haleem’ produced by Sutradhar at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan on November 19. The initiative was for a project called SLATE, a fundraiser for the education of tribal children in the Nallamala forest in collaboration with the World Wild Life Fund (WWF).

The Rotary Club of Hyderabad Pride will open five schools in the villages for children between three and eight years of age to improve their learning levels and focus on empowering local tribal youth to gain experience as teachers.

This initiative is expected to have a positive long term impact on the education of the marginalised children from the forest regions. The play was also attended by IT secretary Jayesh Ranjan.
