The teaser of Ravikanth Perepu’s film Krishna and his Leela was released on Friday, Valentine’s Day. It is loaded with tongue-in-cheek moments for the benefit of Gen Next.
Ravikanth says the romantic drama, which creates a feeling of nostalgia, is a fictional narrative about the personal journey of a spirited youngster from Vizag. “I strongly feel this is a love story that everyone might have gone through at some point of time in their lives. So it might be a nostalgic ride for all of them,” he adds.
Starring Sidhu Jonnalagadda, Shraddha Srinath, Seerat Kapoor and Shalini Vadnikatti, the film is produced by Rana Daggubati.
“Suresh Babu garu (Rana’s father) refined the script and made it compact and ensured that the story had logic. I think that was one of the biggest learning experiences — to constantly keep questioning the loose ends of the plot,” says Ravikanth who earlier helmed Kshanam.
