Kapil Sharma confirms wife Ginni Chatrath\'s pregnancy: \'My mother is most excited\'

Mumbai: Bollywood comedian Kapil Sharma is all set to welcome his first child with wife Ginni Chatrath and it is due in December 2019. The actor is off to Canada with Ginni for their baby moon.

The Bollywood actor and TV host, who has been tight-lipped about the good news, spoke for the first time to Mumbai Mirror and confirmed Ginni's pregnancy. "I just want to take care of my wife and be by her side for now. We are obviously very excited as it's our first kid but my mother is the most excited. She has been waiting for this moment for years now. We are just praying for Ginni and the baby's health," Kapil said.

Kapil also expressed his excitement about this new happy phase in his life. "There is no prep because we don't know if it would be a boy or girl. It's a happy time for the family and everybody is looking forward to welcome the new member," he said.

"I am dubbing for a film for children. So, once the baby grows up, it will pay off," he added.

The couple tied the nuptial knot in Punjab last year on December 12.
