Loss' & frowned

Movie stars are being targetted for getting back to work after personal tragedies.

Actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s world shattered when she lost her father Surendra Shetty a few days ago. The actress braved her way back to work as a judge on the sets of Super Dancer, despite the devastating loss, putting her responsibilities first — garnering a number of hate comments and impolite reactions on her social media platforms.

“Your father passed away and your tweeting and back to normal.. what’s the purpose of that? #shame” and “Only you can tweet just after the death of your father… ready with poem and all… awesome attention seeker #shame” are just some of the comments on the starlet’s ode to her father on her Instagram and Twitter pages. Not the only actress who has delved into work, Priyanka Chopra too was in the midst of controversy after she got back to work days after her father’s demise. When asked about it, Chopra said, “I started work four days later because my dad hated me sitting at home and I would have lost my mind if I did. I wanted to run away from dealing with it and I did.” The actress, still mourns the loss of her father, who she also calls her best friend also said, “His death has been a big blow. I don’t know if I’ve healed, I don’t think I have accepted it.” The Bajirao Mastani actress too, received a lot of nasty comments on social media platforms for getting back “too quickly”.

People indeed have different ways of dealing with and coping with stress, according to Run Anthony actress, Rukhsar Mir. “Losing somebody so dear is very traumatising. For some people diving into work makes them feel better and that’s their personal choice. People have different ways of dealing and coping with loss. Just because somebody is back to work, doesn’t mean they aren’t mourning – They are constantly in the limelight, it’s not like they can cry in front of cameras to show how affected she is. Instead of criticising them, other people should respect their decisions,” the South Indian actress opines.
