Mumbai: Colors has sent off a legal notice to comic actors Ali Asgar and Sunil Grover for agreeing to participate as ‘Daadi’ and ‘Gutthi’, the two beloved characters from the now-defunct Comedy Nights With Kapil, in a  stage show with Salman Khan in Surat on February 19.

While apparently Ali Asgar’s contract with Colors indeed makes it difficult for him to perform his ‘Daadi’ act at live shows, sources close to Sunil Grover say there is no breach of contract involved in his proposed live act.

“Sunil’s contract with Colors clearly stated that he can perform as Gutthi in live stage shows. He was very clear on this. He has consulted his lawyers and he will go ahead with his Gutthi act in Surat in February 19,” says source.
