The Goldbergs
If you've ever known your mother to be enthusiastic, involved to a fault and slightly overbearing and have screamed 'Moooom!' at her, this one's for you.

And sometimes, it can be a bit much. Be prepared to fall more in love with your mother and her dedication for you along with a whole lot of the classic 70s adorable.

Gilmore Girls
If we talk about Mother's day shows, we've got to talk about Gilmore Girls. Not only did it have a successful run that earned accolades, it was renewed almost 10 years after its end in 2007. The show revolves around Lorelai, who chooses to bring up her daughter Rory single-handedly after becoming pregnant at 16. The conversations they share, which have a healthy dose of pop-culture references, are the stars of the show. Give your mother a great experience by watching the reboot that has been getting rave reviews.

Mom
Anna Faris plays Christy, a single mother who is trying to raise her child right while also being a recovering alcoholic. She also makes ends meet by working as a waitress. Throw in Allison Janney playing Bonnie, her estranged mother and you have a laugh riot.

Their witty banter and love-hate relationship will get you through the hardest of times, while also touching upon real-life issues like addiction, teen pregnancy and cancer. Treat your mother to a show that brings two comedy powerhouses together, and will have you laughing madly!

Modern family
A show that is now well-established in the comedy hall of fame, should also be applauded for creating two mothers that seem to have their parenting skills on point. Gloria and Manny's relationship is a unique one as she protects his special tastes and quirks from judgment, all the while trying to get to know him better. If that isn't a great mother, we don't know what is!

Claire, on the other hand, is a control freak who has her hands full with four children — her hyperactive son, warring daughters and a child-like husband. The show is sure to bring your mother and you closer together with the best-written jokes on television.

Switched At Birth
A unique storyline that revolves around two girls, Bay and Kennish, who discover that they were exchanged at birth and who were brought up in polar opposite households. This is also one of the only shows to have deaf and hard-of-hearing regular characters.

It follows the girls as they navigate their relationships with each other, their legal parents and biological ones as well, when their lives intertwine. The show will make you laugh, cry and feel everything in between. Join them on the rollercoaster ride!

Parenthood
Drama is a given in any household but the three generations of the Braverman family seem to have way more. Called one of the most underrated shows on television, the show is about the family as it goes through the trials and tribulations of everyday life. As the name suggests, it has a lot of parenting involved, with Kristina being a strong mother figure and Sarah, her sister, dealing with bringing up two teenagers after a divorce. You'll appreciate your mother a whole lot more after this show, we guarantee it!

Desperate Housewives
You might wonder how this show, known for its scandals, secrets and drama is a Mother's Day pick — but hear us out. It may be easy to lose yourself in the treacherous lives of Wisteria Lane's suburban housewives, but the writers also seem to have paid equal attention to developing strong mothers.

Susan Meyer and her daughter Julie have a special bond; so much so that Julie sometimes has to parent her own mother. Place this in juxtaposition to Lynette Scavo and her trying to keep up with her plethora of children, and you have a perfect recipe for a binge-watching experience.

Giving Mammy a scare
71-year-old Nancy Ashmawy is unique. Why? Because she's flown a 1942 Harvard aircraft upside down, parasailed over the ocean and wrestled with a 10 feet long alligator! 50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy that will air on TLC on May 8, 7 pm, showcases Baz take his mother Nancy on his adventurous trips across the world. The daredevil will go to any lengths to test his mother's limits and give her a fright. Adventure, scares, an adorable mother and a mother-son bond of epic proportions — what more do you need?
