Tyke' a bow, you tiny stars

Two local children have been crowned winners in a talent hunt contest. We profile these bright sparks.

They might be tiny tots, but these Bengaluru kids seem to have got it all when it comes to winning many hearts. The two winners from Bengaluru of the recent Mister Teen Galaxy India Hunt Title 2017 and Miss Little Galaxy will now represent India on an international platform from March 12 to 18 in Bulgaria, Europe. We speak to Bengaluru winners Agasthi Sinha and Myra Muni on the challenges ahead and their preparations.

Myra Muni
She wore the Little Mini Miss Galaxy India Hunt Title 2017 with a smile and won the hearts of all the judges present. Myra, a kindergarten student at Chrysalis High who is now all set to represent India in the Little Teen Category Bulgaria Europe 2017 shares, “My mother got to know of the event from Facebook. I had only a few days to prepare. My mum showed me catwalk and modelling videos. She also taught me how to speak in front of the jury. It was a new thing for me as I’m only five. There were three rounds — talent, catwalk in a gown and question-answer round. I danced on the Chak De India song. When I won the title I was so excited that I couldn’t control my tears. I’m now getting my national costume organised as I’m representing my country on an international platform and learning dance from Ravi Kumar. I’ve also started a grooming session with the experts as I’m competing with kids from other countries. My father Malaya Muni, a pilot trainer with Air Asia and my mother Nandini Muni a homemaker, are accompanying me.”

Agasthi Sinha
He stands tall at 14. Agasthi states, “My mum got to know about this contest from a Facebook post. I enrolled only a day before the auditions, so I barely had any time to prepare. I think my confidence and the right attitude led me through the question round. I never toyed with the idea of modelling and was always into football and cricket, but after winning this national title, I want to take up modelling seriously. I’m preparing hard for the contest in Bulgaria and hope to win the title for India. It was a tough fight as there were many other boys who were good. I’m thankful to my mother Satya and my dad Shardul Sinha, who’re encouraging and motivating me. I’m also working with my personality development coach and a dance trainer. We’ve received an invitation letter from Bulgaria, so Greenwood High International School has agreed to give me leave. When I’m not studying I like to play football and I’m also into fitness and online gaming.”
