Vinod Kumar also said that the dispute is between him and the company over baseless financial demand raised by Tahir Tekniq. When I did not accept the demand, the camera company threatened to stop the release of the film, he said

Multi-lingual political action thriller Ananthan Kaadu producer Vinod Kumar has said that the complaint filed against him for alleged cheating and criminal intimidation over failing to pay the complete amount for the hiring of high-quality camera equipment is fake.

Hyderabad-based camera rental company Taher Cine Tekniq filed a complaint in the Jubilee Hills police station against film actor Arya, playing the lead role in the movie, the producer and a personal assistant claiming outstanding dues of over Rs 1.80 crore for camera camera and lighting equipment used during the film's production. The complaint alleged that when the company manager approached the production team seeking the pending amount, the actor, producer and a personal assistant threatened him.

Responding to the allegations, the film producer said that the complaint raised by the company is completely baseless and a deliberate false propaganda created by the camera company.

Vinod Kumar also said that the dispute is between him and the company over baseless financial demand raised by Tahir Tekniq. When I did not accept the demand, the camera company threatened to stop the release of the film, he said.

The producer said that he approached the Ernakulam Munsif court seeking permission for the release of the film. The complaint filed against Sri Arya by the company is aimed at tarnishing his image, Vinod said.

The court heard to the arguments of our counsel and directed me to deposit the amount with the court. After the money was deposited, the court granted permission for the release of the film on June 25, 2026.

With the permission being granted, Tahir Tekniq filed a petition stating that the documents presented by us were fake. The court adjourned the case.

At the same time, Tahir company filed another petition in the Commercial Court in Hyderabad stating that the documents submitted by us were forged.

The dispute over payments is sub-judice, the producer said.
