SS Rajamouli Teases the Iconic Bull-Riding Sequence in Varanasi

The narrative spans multiple timelines (yugas).

A sequence in Varanasi involves the protagonist, Rudhra (played by Mahesh Babu), storm in riding a bull. Rudhra is depicted as a warrior-adventurer who rides a bull, which is intended to be symbolic of Nandi.

In the interview, the celebrated filmmaker said that when the image was conceived by him, he knew it would become one of the greatest cinematic moments. "I can't say at which point Varanasi was the film I was excited about. An emotional episode leads up to the bull-riding moment," the Baahubali maker said about the shot seen in the film's title reveal glimpse, released in November last year.

Writer Vijayendra Prasad has previously described the 2026 release as a "globetrotting action adventure" in the vein of Indiana Jones, but deeply rooted in Indian cultural and spiritual themes. The narrative spans multiple timelines (yugas).
