Siva Karthikeyan Admits Keeping Pace with Sreeleela Is a Challenge

Mahesh Babu further joked that Telugu heroes may have a tough time keeping up with her energetic style.

Tamil star Siva Karthikeyan has admitted that matching steps with Telugu actress Sreeleela is no easy task. Speaking about their upcoming film Parashakti, the actor said he was initially intimidated by her electrifying dance moves.

“I was floored by her racy dancing in the Telugu song ‘Kurchi Madathapetti’ with Mahesh Babu. I even had to recheck on YouTube whether the video was playing at 1x or 2x speed just to judge her speed and grace,” Siva Karthikeyan said.

He added that he has requested his choreographer to keep things simple for him in Parashakti. “I asked for something comfortable for me with Sreeleela in this film. Maybe I’ll attempt a racy number in the future,” he added.

Earlier, Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu had heaped praise on Sreeleela at a public event, particularly highlighting her boundless energy on the dance floor. “Wow, she is a terrific dancer and is loaded with energy. It’s difficult to explain in words,” he said.

Mahesh Babu further joked that Telugu heroes may have a tough time keeping up with her energetic style. “Some heroes will have to strain their backs,” he quipped, while Sreeleela stood on stage looking thankful and visibly overjoyed.

Summing up her impact, director Trinadh Rao Nakkina, who cast her in the blockbuster Dhamaka, said her dance performances in songs like ‘Jinthak Chittaka’ and ‘Pulsar Bike’ along with Ravi Teja played a key role in launching her Tollywood career.

“Sreeleela’s dancing skills are unmatched. She brings incredible energy to the screen. Being a trained Bharatanatyam dancer helps her perform effortlessly and emote better. That’s a powerful combination for any actress,” he concluded.
