Simran Addresses Haters And Clarifies Remarks Amidst Speculation Of Feud With Jyothika

Simran received an award for her stellar performance in the Tamil remake of Andhadhun.

Actresses Simran and Jyothika are popular figures in the entertainment industry. However, it seems that all is not well between them.

Recently, Simran received an award for her stellar performance in the Tamil remake of Andhadhun. She played a negative role, and fans loved her performance in the film. While receiving the award, Simran addressed her haters and, indirectly, took a jibe at an unnamed actress who is said to have mocked her for playing mother, aunty, or aged roles. Simran stated, "I am not ashamed of accepting mother or aged roles. Each role brings out a new challenge in me." She further added that playing mother roles is far better than "dabba" roles.

Many people could guess whom Simran was referring to. She seemingly targeted Jyothika, who was recently seen in Netflix’s Dabba Cartel. There were rumors that Jyothika had made fun of Simran, which may have prompted Simran’s remarks during the award ceremony. After her speech went viral, Simran clarified that the industry often doesn’t allow two actresses to remain good friends. She also mentioned that she spoke to the person she referred to during the event and sorted out their differences
